The main theme of the architecture is the use of individual storey volumes that playfully offset each other to generate overhangs and at the same time spacious roof terraces at all levels.
A smaller building directly on the street in the tradition of coach houses, the main house as a detached villa with a magnificent view of the water.
A special feature is the light-coloured clinker brick façade in long format, which loosens up the building structures on the lake side through many irregularly placed openings, thus relieving them of their heaviness. The east façade on the lake side is almost entirely glazed and offers a generous view of the Wannsee at Berlin.
The sculptural design approach of the villa plays with interlocking and intersecting structures that consistently open up on the water side and make the special location a permanent experience. The materiality of the clinker brick façade emphasises the high-quality and timeless effect.
The terraced response of the building to the sloping terrain leads to a harmonious integration into the site.
